Our Story
Life was what most would call ordinary. I raised my family in a traditional Black Christian home filled with love, Sunday dinners, and the comforting aroma of southern classics—fried chicken, baked macaroni and cheese, collards with pork, and sweet potatoes. It was the life I knew, but I didn’t realize it was a chapter that would soon change.
Life took a turn. My 15-year marriage was coming to an amicable end. While my weight was down, I was far from healthy—physically and emotionally. To make matters harder, my sister, who has always been like a mother to me, was battling stage four breast cancer. Both my parents had already passed away. My father succumbed to cancer when I was just seven years old, and my mother fought breast cancer, only to lose her battle years later. I felt untethered—grieving, searching, and unsure of what to do next.
I didn’t know where to start, but I knew I wanted to do something—anything—to feel better. I began changing my diet and working out, determined not to return to my former unhealthy self. The memories of my first job in a pharmacy haunted me—seeing older customers juggling medications. I vowed that would not be my future.
One day, while wandering through a GNC store, I came across a juicer on sale. Something about it called to me. I bought it, and that single purchase became the catalyst for a journey I didn’t know I needed.
At first, juicing felt strange. No one I knew was doing it. Social media wasn’t flooded with green drinks back then. My first attempts were…let’s just say unpalatable. Kale, spinach, cucumber, and lemon—healthy, yes, but not enjoyable. Still, something about it felt right; I kept experimenting, adding fruits, and after about two months, I finally found recipes I loved.
I knew I couldn’t go back. The Sunday dinners I grew up on couldn’t sustain the life I wanted. Juicing was my way forward.
I made a vow: If I wanted to live a long, healthy life free of medications and illness, juicing had to be at the center of it.
At first, the benefits were immediate. My weight stabilized, my energy levels soared, and my mind felt sharper. I was hooked.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. My wife fell ill with what seemed like an autoimmune disease. She could barely work, and her body was wracked with pain. I turned to juicing, making fresh juices daily to help her heal. While it helped, she didn’t fully embrace the lifestyle, and neither did anyone else in my family. I often felt like I was on this journey alone.
Her health struggles culminated in a biopsy to rule out thyroid cancer. It was a wake-up call for both of us. I felt a renewed determination to help others through juicing, even if it meant starting small—helping coworkers, friends, and family members who saw real results.
Seeing others lose weight, improve their health, and transform their lives through juicing reignited my passion. My own body became the proof—when I didn’t juice, I felt the difference.
I overhauled my lifestyle completely. I now eat mostly fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, and fish, cutting out pork and beef entirely. My health has flourished—I’m 50, full of energy, and medication-free.
Through trial and error, I developed a system that works. Weekly juicing and ginger shots are non-negotiables. I also embraced natural living, making my own deodorant, laundry detergent, and mouthwash. Food is my medicine, and juicing is at the core.
Today, life is vibrant. My wife has joined me in this mission, helping with juice prep and marketing. She’s working toward her own health goals, and I’m confident she’ll get there. Jevity Juices isn’t just a business; it’s a testament to resilience, transformation, and the power of living well.
This is our story, and we’re here to share the gift of health with you—because longevity tastes better.
